We're returning to Soquel Demonstration Forest in July for a great time on bikes with Trail Head Cyclery. We’ll be kickin’ it old school after the ride with a delicious lunch prepared by Karen of THC, so plan to stick around and tailgate with the crew. Expect a great raffle giveaway with prizes from our partners Bell Helmets, Camelbak, Fox and of course, the good folk of THC.
Need a bike?
You can rent one of Trail Head's amazing fleet of 60 high-end demo bikes by the night. Should you decide to buy a bike, Trail Head Cyclery applies your demo dollars towards the bike you choose. Girls Rock Riders are invited to rent from the THC fleet and save 75% OFF with the promo code: GirlsRockDemo Visit their website to book now. You can pick up your bike from their shop on Friday or Saturday and return it Sunday before 6 pm. Or any other blend of days that works for you.
Riding at Demo: What to expect
Demo is NOT a great introduction for New Riders, so we will resume the New Rider group with our August ride.
Long, hot, dusty and occasionally steep climbs — Please wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and carry lots of water, energy/electrolyte supplements.
Technical Singletrack — We’ll be leading Intermediate and Advanced riders into the singletrack, while Beginner riders will do a double-track out and back.
Remoteness — Demo Forest has no toilets or water (sometimes an outhouse). The nearest businesses are 6 miles from the meeting spot. If we run into a technical issue on the trails, it can be a long walk out. Come equipped with basics like a working bike (review our checklist!) water, a spare tube, tire levers, hand pump and multi-tool. And a cooler with your favorite snacks and beverages for post-ride mingling, with trash bag - please pack your trash on and off the trail.
Schedule
IMPORTANT: Please arrange to pick up and return demo bikes at Trail Head Cyclery. There will be no pick-up/return at the site of the ride. You can pick up your bike from their shop on Friday or Saturday and return it Sunday before 6 pm.

9:30 am – Announcements, raffle with prizes from CamelBak, Bell, and Trail Head
