Women’s Mountain Biking Fundamentals Course

This second of two classes/sections will cover “Women’s Fundamentals Mountain Biking Part I” and will be offered on July 12th. The last class/section, “Women’s Fundamentals Mountain Biking Part II,” will be a follow-on to Part I, and will be offered on August 16th.

Learn essential mountain biking (MTB) skills to ride your bike safely and have more FUN! Spend your morning with instructors certified by the Bike Instructor Certification Program to learn MTB fundamentals. This class is geared towards beginner riders who would like to learn more about safely riding their bike and increase their bike confidence. This is an encouraging, supportive, and fun opportunity to focus on:

- Getting to know your bike

- Safety

- Fundamental MTB skills like neutral and ready position, bike body separation, braking, shifting, and more

Fundamental skills and drills will be taught with cones on grass or in a parking lot. There will be a short trail ride to apply these concepts to the trail
